By the grace of Almighty Allah, the Annual Ijtema of Majlis Ansarullah Liverpool (Northwest) was held successfully on Monday 4th May 2026 at Masjid Bait–ul–Lateef, Liverpool. The event was attended by 34 Ansar members and served as a spiritually uplifting and well-organised gathering focused on strengthening faith, promoting physical well-being, and encouraging academic excellence.
The programme began in the early hours of the morning with Tahajjud prayer at 03:45am, followed by Fajr prayer and Dars-ul-Qur’an at 04:30am. After the morning prayers, members were encouraged to take part in an individual exercise programme, such as walking or cycling, between 06:00am and 08:00am, promoting the importance of maintaining physical health alongside spiritual development.
Opening Session
The Opening Session commenced at approximately 9:30am, chaired by respected Irfan Ahmad Sahib, Sadr Jamaat Liverpool. He delivered a thought-provoking and informative address on the virtues and blessings of Durood and Istighfaar, reminding attendees of the importance of strengthening one’s relationship with Allah through constant remembrance and prayer.
Academic Competitions
The academic segment of the Ijtema began at 10:15am and continued until 12:15pm, featuring a range of competitions including:
- Tilawat
- Nazm
- Urdu Speeches
- English Speeches
- Observation Test
These competitions provided an excellent opportunity for Ansar members to demonstrate their abilities and benefit from healthy and encouraging competition in a supportive environment.
Refreshments were served at 12:15pm, allowing members to relax and prepare for the next part of the programme.
Sports Activities
From 12:30pm to 2:00pm, sports activities were held to promote teamwork, fitness, and brotherhood. Activities included:
- Pickleball
- Carrom Board
- Dartboard
The sports segment was enjoyed by all participants and contributed positively to the atmosphere of unity and enthusiasm.
Special Spiritual Session and Final Proceedings
At 2:00pm, members gathered for congregational Zuhr prayer, followed by a spiritually uplifting session titled Zikr-e-Habib at 2:10pm. This special presentation was delivered by respected Labeeb Ahmad Sahib (Murabbi Silsila, Liverpool), leaving a deep impact on attendees and enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of the Ijtema.
The Final Session began at 2:30pm, chaired by respected Naib Nazim-e-Ala Northwest, Sajid Arain Sahib. The session included the prize distribution ceremony, after which Naib Nazim-e-Ala Sahib delivered valuable guidance and encouragement to Ansar brothers, highlighting key messages connected to the theme of the Ijtema and motivating members to continue striving in their religious and community responsibilities.
Conclusion
The programme concluded with dinner being served at 3:00pm, bringing a blessed day of worship, learning, and brotherhood to a close.
