By the grace of Almighty Allah, the Annual Ijtema of Majlis Ansarullah North Wales was held successfully on Sunday 26th April 2026 at the Ahmadiyya Mosque, Rhyl, North Wales.
The event was organised with the noble aims of fostering spiritual revival, promoting physical well-being, and encouraging healthy academic competition among members. Out of 10 registered Ansar brothers, 7 members attended, and the programme ran from 11:00am to 2:00pm, concluding with the closing session and prize distribution. The Ijtema was chaired by respected Mansoor Ahmad Bajwa Sahib, Za’im Majlis Ansarullah North Wales.
Opening Proceedings
The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an with translation in both Urdu and English, followed by the Ansarullah pledge, Nazm, an opening address, and silent prayers. This set a spiritually uplifting tone for the day and reminded attendees of the true purpose of the Ijtema.
Sports Competitions
At the start of the Ijtema, various sports competitions were organised to promote fitness, strength, and brotherhood. These included:
- Arm Wrestling
- Target Shooting
- Basketball
- Bucket Ball (throwing a ball into a bucket)
- Table Tennis
Participants took part enthusiastically, creating an enjoyable atmosphere of teamwork and friendly competition.
Academic Competitions
Following the sports segment, academic competitions were held, including:
- Tilawat
- Nazm
- Speech Contests
These activities provided an excellent opportunity for Ansar brothers to showcase their abilities and strengthen their religious and educational skills.
Prize Distribution and Conclusion
Upon completion of all competitions, a prize distribution ceremony was held, during which awards were presented to Ansar brothers who demonstrated outstanding performance in both sports and academic categories.
After the concluding session and silent prayers, Zuhr and Asr prayers were offered in congregation. The programme ended with dinner being served to all attendees.
