By the grace and blessings of Allah the Almighty, Leicester Majlis successfully held its Local Ansar Ijtema on 17 May 2026. The theme of this year’s Ijtema was Durood Sharif and Istighfar, highlighting the significance of seeking Allah’s forgiveness and invoking blessings upon the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Extensive preparations were undertaken in advance of the event. A number of planning meetings were held, and dedicated committees were established for Programme, Sports, Academics, Food, and Logistics. Through their commitment, teamwork, and hard work, all arrangements were completed efficiently, ensuring the smooth and successful delivery of the Ijtema.
We were privileged to welcome the Regional Nazim-e-A‘la Sahib and his representatives to the opening session. They delivered inspiring guidance and valuable reminders, encouraging participants to maximise the spiritual and moral benefits of the Ijtema.
Alhamdulillah, a total of 43 Ansar brothers attended the event. The programme consisted of the opening session, indoor sports competitions, academic competitions, prize distribution, an address by the Chief Guest, followed by Zuhr prayer and lunch.
We express our sincere gratitude to all organisers, volunteers, committee members, and participants whose dedication and efforts contributed to the success of this Ijtema. May Allah the Almighty abundantly bless and reward everyone for their service and enable us to continue serving His faith with sincerity and devotion.
