Majlis Ansarullah Dudley Commemorates the 80th Anniversary of the End of WW2

Members of Majlis Ansarullah Dudley (West Midlands) were honored to be invited to attend and speak at a special event held at Dudley College to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and to pay tribute to the brave veterans. The event aimed to highlight the multicultural aspects of British society and remember the sacrifices made by soldiers from all backgrounds.

As part of the event’s theme, Majlis Ansarullah Dudley was given the opportunity to present a talk on the role of Muslims in both World War I and World War II. Tariq Malik sb, whose great-grandfather from the small village of Dulmial in Pakistan fought with the British forces during WW1, shared a powerful presentation on the history of Muslim contributions in these wars.

Tariq Malik sb also emphasized the Islamic perspective, explaining that love for the nation is an essential part of the faith, highlighting how Muslims have historically supported their nations during times of war, in line with the teachings of Islam.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity to introduce Islam Ahmadiyya to the attendees, connect with people from different walks of life, and forge new friendships. To further promote a spirit of camaraderie, the members of Majlis Ansarullah Dudley also donated samosas as a friendly gesture to the attendees, symbolizing the warmth and hospitality of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Participants:
