Alhamdulillah, on 5th March, Burton Majlis organised an Iftaar programme in Stoke-on-Trent. The programme was arranged locally to facilitate members who live in the area, particularly those who face difficulties travelling to Burton due to limited transport options. Many members in this area do not have access to cars, and with limited late-night train and bus services, attending Iftaar programmes in Burton can be challenging, especially for elderly members.
This local arrangement provided a valuable opportunity to meet and engage with members who are usually unable to attend Majlis meetings due to health issues, work commitments, or transport difficulties.
Masha’Allah, the programme had an attendance of over 60 members. Sadr Sahib, Zaim Sahib, Sadr Lajna, and the Ziafat Secretary attended the Iftaar with their families to support the event. Nazim-e-A‘la Sharjeel Sahib also attended the programme with his family and had the opportunity to meet Ansar brothers who live the furthest away within the region.
Special arrangements were made to pick up and drop off members from their homes, as many in this area do not have personal transport. Extra support was also provided for the elderly members, ensuring they could comfortably attend and participate in the programme.
Alhamdulillah, the event was very successful and greatly appreciated by the local members.
