Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, Burton Majlis successfully organised a Local Ansar Ijtema on 17th May at Baitus Saboor Mosque, Burton. The event commenced with indoor sporting activities in the morning, followed by lunch and Zuhr/Asr prayers. The afternoon session featured academic competitions and concluded with a closing session.
Preparations for the Ijtema began in April, with extensive planning undertaken to ensure the success of the event. Ansar brothers were informed and encouraged to participate through home visits, telephone calls, WhatsApp messages, text messages, and announcements made during Jumu’ah prayers.
The programme began with Tilawat of the Holy Qur’an, the Ansar pledge, and silent prayer. This was followed by a variety of indoor sporting competitions, including carrom board, darts, table tennis, arm wrestling, and 8-ball pool. The activities were thoroughly enjoyed by all and received enthusiastic participation from the Ansar brothers. Refreshments, including tea, coffee, juice, water, fruit, and biscuits, were served throughout the session. The atmosphere remained warm and cheerful, with many brothers enjoying the opportunity to socialise and strengthen bonds of brotherhood alongside the sporting activities.
Following Zuhr and Asr prayers, our Muntazim Tarbiyyat delivered an insightful address on the importance and virtues of Durood Sharif. We were also honoured by the presence of Nazim-e-A‘la Sharjeel Sahib, Naib Nazim-e-A‘la Keemo Sahib, along with members of the regional Amila team.
The afternoon academic session included competitions in Tilawat, Nazm, Urdu speech, and English speech. The Ansar brothers participated with great enthusiasm, and all attendees benefited from the inspiring and thought-provoking presentations delivered throughout the session.
A total of 27 Ansar attended the Ijtema out of a Tajneed of 33, resulting in an excellent attendance rate of 82%.
The food was prepared by the Ansar Ziafat team and consisted of lamb karahi, chicken karahi, gajar halwa, tea, and refreshments. The meal was greatly appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed by all attendees.
Alhamdulillah, the Ijtema proved to be a highly successful and memorable event, fostering brotherhood, spirituality, and active participation among the Ansar of Burton Majlis.
