During the holy month of Ramadan, MA Surbiton has actively engaged in various Tabligh initiatives, fostering community spirit, interfaith harmony, and goodwill. Through a series of thoughtful and generous activities, the group has shared the essence of Ramadan with neighbours, colleagues, and the wider community.
Community Outreach
- Homemade Food for Neighbours: Demonstrating the spirit of sharing and compassion, MA Surbiton members prepared and distributed homemade food to 20 neighbours, strengthening bonds within the local community.
- 1889 Cakes Distribution: As part of the Ramadan celebrations, 14 special 1889 cakes were shared among neighbours, symbolizing kindness and generosity.
Interfaith Engagement
- Eid Gift Hampers for Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Primary School: In an effort to promote interfaith understanding, 34 Eid gift hampers were presented to students and teachers at Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Primary School. This included 30 students and 4 teachers, among them the headteacher, highlighting the importance of unity and respect between different faith communities.
Workplace Engagement
- Gifting Dates to Colleagues: Ramadan is a time for giving, and in this spirit, 25 colleagues received specially prepared dates filled with chocolates and nuts, fostering an atmosphere of warmth and mutual appreciation at the workplace.
City Tabligh Stalls
- Public Outreach and Dawah: MA Surbiton organized 2 Tabligh stalls in the city, reaching out to the wider public with informative resources. A total of 75 leaflets and 1 book were distributed, leading to 2 engaging discussions about Islam and its teachings.
