By the grace of Allah the Almighty, Majlis Ansarullah Northwest Region successfully organised its Regional Barbecue and Sports Event on Sunday, 12 July 2026, at Baitul Lateef Mosque, Liverpool. The event brought together approximately 170 Ansar from all 10 Majalis across the region, creating a wonderful atmosphere of harmony, brotherhood, and mutual bonding. It also became of a source of attracting many members who have been at distance form Ansarullah.
The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a welcome address from Respected Irfan Ahmad Sahib, Sadr Jamaat Liverpool. He presented members a brief history of Liverpool Jamaat and highlighted the remarkable journey that led to the acquisition of Baitul Lateef Mosque in 2015. He also updated members about the renovation work currently going on and invited members to step up and contribute for this historic mosque. His informative talk was much appreciated by all members especially those who were visiting the mosque for the first time since its purchase. Nazim e ala also welcomed all members and appreciated the efforts made which aimed to get all brother together. This will enable us strengthen our bonding which will have a long-lasting effect on our future children. This ended with a dua led by Murrabbi Silsla, Labeeb sahib.
Alhamdulillah, the attendance reflected the enthusiasm and dedication of Ansar brothers across the region. Amongst others, 65 members belonged to Saf-e-Awal (55 years and above) and 40 members were over the age of 65, demonstrating the active participation of senior members.
The excellent weather added to the success of the day. All attendees were offered a welcome drink of refreshening lemon water and Rooh afza followed by a delicious barbecue lunch consisting of chapel kabab and grilled chicken and chick pea pilau, chilled custard trifle. The hospitality arrangements very graciously made by Liverpool Majlis were greatly appreciated by all members. Following Zuhr and Asr prayers offered in congregation, members spent valuable time together, rekindling old friendships, meeting new members from different Majalis, and strengthening the spirit of brotherhood. For many attendees, this was their first opportunity to visit Baitul Lateef Mosque since its acquisition, making the occasion even more memorable.
After dinner, the programme continued at Otterspool Promenade beach, where members participated in outdoor sports and recreational activities in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Further refreshments, including chilled watermelon and milk drinks, were served, providing welcome relief during the warm afternoon. Ansar brothers enjoyed palying Tape ball Cricket and Volley Ball and other brothers enjoyed walking along the beach. The outgoing Murrabbi sahib Respected Murrabbi Silsla, Muhammad Ahmad Khurshid also attended our event.
The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, who expressed their appreciation for the excellent organisation and the opportunity to reconnect with fellow Ansar from across the Northwest Region.
Special thanks are extended to Zaeem Sahib, Liverpool, and the entire Ziafat team for their outstanding hospitality and exceptional barbecue arrangements in a very hot weather. A special appreciation goes to Uraish Dar sahib of Blackburn for his dedicated efforts in preparing BBQ. Sincere gratitude is also extended to all volunteers whose hard work and commitment ensured the smooth running of the programme.
May Allah the Almighty abundantly bless all those who contributed to the success of this gathering, accept their sincere efforts, and continue to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood within Majlis Ansarullah. Ameen.
