On Sunday, 4th May 2025, the AMEA Cycling Club, Northwest organized a cycling event under the banner of Ride4Peace, featuring 13 cyclists. The tour commenced just before 10:00 am from Darul Amaan Mosque in Manchester, located in the Hulme area south of Manchester city centre. The route covered the towns of Walkden and Bolton, passed through Middlebrook Retail Park in Horwich, and concluded at Baitul Aziz, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Centre in Horwich. During Cycling tour, local AMEA cyclist also joined the group in Bolton and Middlebrook to show their support for this great cause. Cyclists were greeted by local community leaders and missionary.
Horwich North Ward Councillor, Ryan Bamforth also participated in the event by joining them in Manchester. The primary aim of the ride was to promote peace, health, and togetherness through an enjoyable and safe cycling experience, fostering community cohesion and well-being.
Regional head of Cycling Club Jameel Mushtaq sahib gave briefing about the event during dinner in Baitul Aziz Mosque Bolton, Missionary Adeel Ahmed sahib introduced the Jamat and at the end Councillor Ryan Bamforth express about his experience of Ride4Peace. He gave his availability to participate in any future cycling event.
In the end 7 Cyclists ride back to Manchester covering over all distance of over 70 kilometres.
This event reflects the ongoing efforts of the AMEA Cycling Club to use cycling as a means to bring communities together and promote positive values under the Ride4Peace initiative.
