21–23 November 2025 | Baitul Huda Mosque, Sydney
Hosted by Majlis Ansarullah Australia

Majlis Ansarullah UK proudly participated in the 3rd Masroor International Badminton Tournament, held at the beautiful and spiritually uplifting Baitul Huda Mosque, Sydney. The global event brought together teams from the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Sweden, USA, Fiji, and Indonesia.

This year’s tournament was particularly memorable for UK Ansar, with all three UK Ansar teams performing exceptionally, two teams reaching the semi-finals, and one UK team ultimately winning the International Championship—defeating the defending champions from Canada.

A Journey of Dedication – UK Ansar Trials & Selection

The road to Sydney began months earlier in the UK. A formal trial and selection process was conducted at Ash Manor Sports Centre, where UK Ansar from across the country competed for places in the final squads.

Prior to this, Majlis Ansarullah UK had also participated in a similar tournament organised by Majlis Seht, where Khuddam and Ansar teams competed together—but impressively, all three winning teams were from Ansar, demonstrating the strength of UK’s senior members in the sport.

After a rigorous selection stage, three Ansar teams were finalised to represent the UK internationally.

UK Ansar Training Programme – Serious Preparation, Professional Standards

The UK Ansar teams undertook a high-level training and conditioning programme in preparation for the international tournament.
Training occurred twice a week at multiple high-quality venues:

  • Wimbledon
  • Ash Manor
  • Roehampton University

The training used international-grade feather shuttles, reflecting the professional standard set by the UK team management.

Physical Training & Conditioning

To ensure players reached peak form:

  • Regular fitness sessions were organised
  • Strength and endurance training was emphasised
  • Stretching, agility drills, and cardio routines were implemented
  • Players followed personal fitness plans to maintain match readiness

External Coaching Support

Players received additional enhancement through:

  • External badminton consultants, who analysed gameplay
  • Technical improvements in footwork, movement economy, and shot precision
  • Match simulations to build stamina and mental resilience

Team Kits & Logistics

Custom-made team kits were designed, prepared, and provided to all players. Logistics, accommodation, and preparations were professionally handled to ensure smooth participation.

Special Blessing – UK Teams Meet Huzooraa Before Departure

Before leaving for Australia, the UK teams were honoured with a mulaqat with Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) at Islamabad, Tilford.
The players sought prayers for success, and this meeting boosted morale and spiritual motivation.

This blessing became a source of strength throughout the tournament.
