With the blessings of Allah the Almighty, Majlis Ansarullah West Midlands successfully held its Annual Regional Ijtema over two days, on 10th and 11th May 2025, at Darul Barakat Mosque, Birmingham. The theme of this year’s Ijtema was “Belief in the Unseen”.

Prior to the regional Ijtema, all nine Majalis across the West Midlands Region were instructed to hold their respective Local Ijtemaat. Alhamdulillah, most complied positively.
An Ijtema Organising Committee was formed under the guidance & supervision of Mr Shahid Mahmood Chaudhary as Nazime’Aala Ijtema 2025, which met regularly to coordinate all arrangements. A promotional campaign was also launched across the region involving:
- Distribution of posters and digital flyers
- Direct outreach to every Nasir via Zoama and regional team members
- Follow-up through phone calls, texts, and personal invitations


Day 1 – Saturday, 10 May 2025:
Sports Competitions
The first day of the Ijtema focused on Sports Competitions, which were held at Darul Barakat Mosque and nearby facilities. The opening session was presided over by Respected Regional Nazim-e-Ala, Rafique Saleh Nasir Sahib.
With Allah’s Grace, the following sports competitions were successfully conducted:
- Badminton (Doubles)
- Table Tennis (Singles)
- Tug of War
- Volleyball
- Cricket
- Darts
- Shot Put
- Egg & Spoon Race
- Cycling
- Soft Archery
- Strong Man Competition















Day 2 – Sunday, 11 May 2025:
Academics & Concluding Session
The second day began with breakfast and registration between 9:00 – 10:00 AM. The Opening Session was chaired by Regional Ameer Sahib, Syed Imtiaz Ahmad Sahib, and began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by the Ansar Pledge and a Nazm. In his address, Nazim-e-Ala West Midlands, Rafique Saleh Nasir Sahib, elaborated on the theme “Belief in the Unseen”, inspiring brothers to strengthen their faith and connection with Allah.






Academic Competitions
Academic Competitions were held shortly after the opening session and included:
- Tilawat
- Nazm
- Prepared Speech (Urdu)
- Prepared Speech (English)
- Extempore Speech (Urdu)
- Extempore Speech (English)
- Chinese Whisper




Dedicated Session for
Ansar over 65 years
First time in West Midland Regional Ijtema history, a dedicated session for Ansar over 65 years of age was also arranged, featuring:
- Inspirational Stories
- Yaad-e-Raftagaan (Remembering the Departed)
- Musical Chair
- Slow Race

Social Media Training Session
A Social Media Training Session was conducted after Zohr & Asr prayers, to equip Ansar brothers with skills to carry out effective Tabligh using modern platforms. Lunch was served following this informative session.

We were honoured by the presence of Respected Sahibzada Mirza Waqas Ahmad Sahib, Sadr Majlis Ansarullah UK, who travelled from London along with:
- Naib Sadr, Hafiz Ijaz Ahmad Tahir Sahib
- Qaid Amoomi, Col. Shahid Latif Sahib





Concluding Session
The Concluding Session was presided over by Sadr Ansarullah UK, and began with Tilawat and Nazm. Shahid Mahmood Chaudhry Sahib, Nazim-e-Ala Ijtema, presented the Ijtema report, followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners of academic and sports competitions were awarded by Sadr Sahib.
