In 2024, Tahir Region remained committed to community support and service, delivering various impactful initiatives throughout the year. Below is a summary of the major activities conducted:
1. New Year Waqar-e-Amal – Street Cleaning at Battersea and Tooting High Street
To begin the year with a charitable endeavor, Tahir Region organized a street cleaning initiative at Battersea and Tooting High Street. Volunteers worked to improve the cleanliness of public areas, emphasizing the region’s dedication to civic responsibility.
2. Monthly Food Bank Initiatives
Tahir Region arranged a monthly food bank in collaboration with Battersea Majlis, providing essential donations to a local church. Additionally, Earlsfield and Wandsworth Majalis established their own food banks. These initiatives significantly helped alleviate food insecurity and fostered new community connections. Alhamdulillah.
3. Meet & Greet Events for Seniors and Saf-e-Awal Ansar
Several Meet & Greet events were held at regional and local levels, targeting individuals over the age of 65 and Saf-e-Awal Ansar. These gatherings promoted social interaction, community spirit, and ensured that senior members stayed engaged and connected.
4. Support for National Programmes
Tahir Region played a key role in supporting multiple national Ansarullah programmes:
- National Refresher Course: Managed the registration process and food-serving duties.
- Cold Weather Support: Volunteers visited every Nasir over 65 and all disabled individuals during the cold season, ensuring their well-being as per central guidelines.
- NHS Forum Participation: A total of 103 Ansar from Tahir Region participated, discussing critical health issues.
- Isa’a Forums: Members actively engaged in forums on “Hazards of Psycho-Social Stresses to Our Health,” contributing to discussions on mental and emotional well-being.
5. Canadian Ansar Visit
During the visit of Canadian Ansar to the UK, Tahir Region assisted the national team by providing transportation for the guests, thus strengthening international ties within the community.
6. Food Preparation for Major Events
Tahir Region supported the preparation of food for major national events, including the National Refresher Course, the Charity Walk, and the Cycling 4 Peace event in Islamabad. Ansar from Tahir Region also performed duties as marshals, at Tabligh desks, and managed wind-up tasks at these events. Additionally, they supported Lajna food transportation and preparation. Alhamdulillah.
7. Celebration of Three Ashra Isa’ar
Tahir Region celebrated three Ashra Isa’ar throughout the year, reinforcing the spirit of service and selflessness among members in line with Jama’at traditions and guidelines.
8. Support During the EU Ansar Refresher Course
The region contributed by providing transportation and food preparation for the EU Ansar Refresher Course, showing dedication to supporting both regional and international events.
9. Blood Donation to NHS
Tahir Region made significant efforts to organize blood donations for the NHS, encouraging each Majlis to register at least two Ansar. Due to the positive response, the region exceeded expectations, with many members continuing to book appointments for future donations.

Alhamdulillah, 2024 has been a year of dedicated service, cooperation, and growth for Tahir Region. Through community support initiatives like food banks and blood donations, and by contributing to national and international events, the region has upheld the values of Isa’ar and demonstrated a strong commitment to serving others, fulfilling our responsibilities as Nasirs and members of Majlis Ansarullah.
