Alhamdulillah, the West Midlands Region held its Second Quran Quiz Competition on Saturday, 2nd November, at the Darul Barakaat Mosque. We were blessed with the presence of respected Qaid Taleem ul Quran, Fazal Tahir Sahib, and Naib Qaid Tariq Noor Sahib, who travelled from London to preside over and conduct the event.
The program opened with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Farid Mahmood Mubashar Sahib. Following this, Qaid Sahib shared insightful guidance on the importance of Quranic study and correct recitation. He emphasized the significance of learning the translation and noted the dedicated work by Khulafa-e-Ahmadiyyat in this area, urging participants to take full advantage of it. He also highlighted ongoing efforts by the national department, such as weekly Quran classes on Zoom, encouraging all members to join.
Competition Structure and Results
The quiz was structured into two rounds, each containing two sets of three questions. Out of nine Majalis in the region, seven participated, showcasing a high level of preparation and commitment. The competition was marked by a spirit of healthy rivalry and camaraderie.
Competition Results:
- 1st Position: Majlis Walsall
- 2nd Position: Shared by Majlis Dudley & Majlis Birmingham Center
- 3rd Position: Majlis Birmingham East
The event concluded with a silent prayer, and a meal was served to all 32 participating Ansar members.
