The Annual Ijtema of Majlis Ansarullah Cheam and Majlis Ansarullah South Cheam was held jointly at the Old Baitul Ehsan Building. The theme for this year’s Ijtema was Durood and Istighfar, and all activities and the syllabus were aligned accordingly.
The day began at 10:00am with registration, followed by breakfast consisting of tea and a variety of biscuits.
The opening session, chaired by Respected Haider Hameed Sahib, Additional Qaid Tarbiyyat Majlis Ansarullah UK, commenced at 11:00am with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Respected Zia-ul-Haq Sethi Sahib. Haider Hameed Sahib then delivered his opening remarks and emphasised the importance of Durood and Istighfar in strengthening relationships, particularly in the context of Rishta Nata. He explained that just as a plant requires care and support to grow, relationships and the upbringing of children require continuous spiritual nurturing through Durood and Istighfar. The opening session concluded with silent prayer.
Following the opening session, both Majalis took part in various academic and sports competitions. Members from both Majalis participated enthusiastically. The academic competitions included Tilawat of the Holy Qur’an, Urdu prepared speech, English prepared speech, and Nazm. A panel of three judges evaluated and scored all competitions. Sports competitions were also held with great spirit and participation from all attendees.
After the completion of competitions, Zuhr and Asr prayers were offered in congregation in the Ijtema hall at 2:00pm.
The final session began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and was chaired by Respected Fazal Ahmad Tahir Sahib, Qaid Ta‘lim Majlis Ansarullah UK. Following the pledge and recitation of a Nazm, the Ijtema reports were presented by:

- Respected Fakhar Uddin Babar Sahib (Nazim A‘ala, Majlis Ansarullah South Cheam)
These reports highlighted the preparations and key activities of the Ijtema. A prize distribution ceremony was then conducted, and members who achieved positions in the academic and sports competitions were invited to receive their awards.
Respected Fazal Ahmad Tahir Sahib then addressed the Ansar and emphasised the importance of the Ta‘lim department and adherence to the prescribed syllabus. He advised participants to study sincerely and complete their assessments honestly without resorting to unfair means. He also reiterated the significance of Durood and Istighfar in personal and spiritual development. The session concluded with a silent prayer led by Fazal Ahmad Tahir Sahib.
Following the final session, lunch was served on the second floor for all attendees. The menu included Lamb Korma, Naan, Vegetable Rice, and Zarda. The food was well received and was a highlight of the Ijtema.
Alhamdulillah, the joint Ijtema proved to be a spiritually uplifting and well-organised event. It strengthened unity, brotherhood, and religious commitment among all participants.
