Masroor Region Majlis Surbiton Annual Ijtema 2025

5th Local Ijtema of Majlis Ansarullah Surbiton: A Day of Brotherhood, Dedication, and Blessings

Planning for the 5th Local Ijtema of Majlis Ansarullah Surbiton began in earnest in March 2025. Under the leadership of Mirza Rashid Sahib, who was appointed as Nazim-e-Aala Ijtema, a dedicated committee was formed to coordinate the event. By the Grace and Mercy of Allah, everything came together smoothly, resulting in a memorable and spiritually uplifting experience.

Despite the busy schedules of many members, the Ijtema committee worked diligently in their respective roles. From arranging the sound system to organizing delicious meals, every detail was handled with care and enthusiasm. Clear and consistent communication – including regular committee meetings and WhatsApp updates – proved to be essential to the smooth execution of the event.

A Weekend of Engagement and Unity

The Ijtema was spread over two key dates. The Sports Session was held separately on Saturday, 12th April at 11am at Alexandra Recreation Ground in Tolworth. It was a successful event filled with sportsmanship, camaraderie, and prayers. An impressive turnout of 25 members participated, including inspiring seniors aged 70+, exemplifying the spirit of Ansarullah.

The main Ijtema program took place the following day and began in the afternoon with registration, followed by the opening session at 2:30pm, chaired by Respected Kashif Sethi Sahib (Regional Nazim-e-Aala). The academic competitions, led by Belaid Abdus Salaam Sahib, showcased the knowledge and preparation of our members.

Food, Fellowship, and Faith

The Ziafat team played a pivotal role by organizing meals after Asr prayers, with refreshments available throughout the day. Their tireless efforts ensured that all attendees felt cared for and energized.

The event concluded with a closing session chaired by Respected Asmet Ullah Ch Sahib (Qaid Tehrik-e-Jadid/Waqf-e-Jadid). We were also honored to have Respected Harris Malik Sahib and Respected Ata ul Aziz Ahmad Sahib as panel judges for the academic competitions.

Strong Participation

We are proud to report that out of a Tajneed of 58, considering 9 elderly/unwell members and 26 active members who were away, we achieved an effective participation rate of 55%, with 32 members in attendance. This speaks volumes about the commitment of Majlis Ansarullah Surbiton to fostering brotherhood and spiritual growth.

Alhamdulillah, this was our 5th successful Local Ijtema — a true testament to teamwork, faith, and the blessings of Allah Almighty. May we continue to grow stronger as a Majlis and continue serving with sincerity and dedication.
