Remarks from Leadership

Respected Ameer UK – Mr. Rafiq Ahmad Hayat

“I would like to thank everyone who’s here—the charities, our worshipful mayors, and politicians…
This is the true spirit—the fact that you’ve come here on a Sunday morning.
All we’re doing is bringing together the whole community in the hope that we can have better understanding and a peaceful society for our children.
God bless you all. Have a great day. You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers.”

The Walk

The walk progressed through Morden Hall Park, allowing attendees to enjoy the natural greenery and calm environment. Refreshment points were placed along the route to support walkers.

The walk culminated with a return to the mosque, where participants gathered for a lunch and closing session.

Closing Session

The concluding session included brief speeches and presentations over lunch. Organisers reflected on the day’s success:

“Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah and with prayers, we had a very successful programme today.
We’ve had great success in coordinating and working with small charities.
To date, we have over 500 small charities on our database, and we have supported many of them.”

Looking Ahead

The Charity Walk for Peace continues to serve as a beacon of service, peace, and community unity across the UK. The event not only raises vital funds but also builds bridges across communities, faiths, and institutions.
