Alhamdulillah, Burton Majlis was honored to be invited to an Eid party organized by a Nasir working at Balfour Beatty. The celebration was a vibrant gathering, reflecting the joy and communal spirit of Eid.
A Gathering of Friends
Over 130 people attended the event, making it a truly festive occasion. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy as community members from diverse backgrounds came together to celebrate.
Delicious Festivities
The party featured an array of delicious foods that are staples during Eid celebrations, including samosas, kebabs, and dates. The highlight was a beautifully decorated cake accompanied by a heartfelt Eid card, gifted to us as a symbol of friendship and goodwill.
Sharing Our Traditions
During the event, we had the opportunity to speak about the significance of Ramadan and Eid. This sparked curiosity and led to many insightful questions from the attendees. These interactions are essential in fostering understanding and appreciation for our cultural and religious practices.
Extending Invitations
In the spirit of community and outreach, we invited many attendees to the upcoming inauguration of our new mosque. This event will be another step in strengthening our bonds and promoting interfaith harmony.
